The Alaska Health Insurance Counseling Program gives free information and assistance on Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, long term care, supplemental insurance, and other health insurance benefits.

A grant from the Alaska Commission on Aging provides funding for services to Alaskans over the age of 60.

Denakkanaaga provides information, referral, support, and advocacy service. We provide comprehensive needs assessments, to include in depth follow up. Our Executive Director and program director travel to these villages many times a year.We provide elders important social service needs that may not otherwise be met. We hold workshops on such topics as Medicaid,Medicare,fraud,diabetes,wills,organ donation,suicide,drugs and dementia.We work closely with other organizations but do not overlap.
