Elder Care Servies Serving West Glover, VT

The Area Agency on Aging for Northeastern Vermont provides supportive services to seniors, their families and caregivers in Caledonia, Orleans and Essex counties of Vermont. Anyone who is 60 or older (or a spouse or caregiver) is eligible to participate in programs provided by the Agency. The Area Agency on Aging collaborates closely with a variety of community partners - senior centers, nutrition providers, senior housing providers, nursing and community care homes, transit providers, in-home service and medical providers, adult day programs, legal assistance providers, community action agencies and mental health agencies.

Adult Protective Services is a program within the Division of Licensing and Protection which investigates allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults.

The program offers counseling and assistance on a variety of topics including: Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Supplemental Insurance; long term care financing options and other health insurance options.
