Description:
The Ombudsmen help residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities (and their families) investigate and resolve complaints through the use of advocacy, negotiation, and mediation skills. Also trained volunteers serve as "eyes and ears".
Special Notes:
Education is an important part of the Ombudsman program. Ombudsmen educate nursing home and assisted living staff through in-service trainings, and educate families and residents regarding resident's rights.
